Plan
For clubs that collect regularly online.

The sponsor pays the invoice amount. Any PatronNow payment fee and processing costs are deducted from the club’s payout, rather than added to the sponsor’s bill.
Card and Pay by Bank processing is charged at the provider's cost with no PatronNow mark-up. Money you receive directly and record yourself is always free. ULU Studio Ltd is not VAT-registered, so there is no VAT on plans or commission. Cancelling a monthly plan stops renewal at the end of the paid period.
Worked examples
What a sponsor payment actually costs.
The PatronNow fee is 4% of each online payment, capped at £250. Processing is what Stripe charges for the payment method, passed through at cost. Both come out of the club's payout.

For comparison, an uncapped 8% fee on the £10,000 payment would be £800, and an uncapped 20% fee £2,000. Plan figures leave out the £20 monthly or £200 annual plan price itself.
Paying in instalments
The £250 cap applies to each successful payment, not to the whole sponsorship. A £6,000 sponsorship paid in one go costs £240 in PatronNow fees. Paid as three £2,000 instalments, each payment costs £80, so £240 in total, plus processing on each. The cap only changes the picture above £6,250 per payment. On a plan, every instalment is 0% commission.

Stripe's published standard UK rates, passed through with no mark-up. The exact cost is worked out and shown before each payment.

Rates checked October 2026 and may change; Stripe's current rate applies. Pay by Bank is available for payments from £0.50 to £10,000. Stripe keeps its processing cost when a payment is refunded.

Pricing questions.
When does a plan make sense?
When your online sponsor payments add up to more than about £500 a month, or £5,000 a year on the annual plan. Below that, pay as you go is cheaper. You can switch between monthly and annual at the next renewal, and cancel a monthly plan at any time.
Is there VAT on top?
No. ULU Studio Ltd is not registered for VAT, so there is no VAT on plans or commission. If that changes, we will give at least 30 days' notice.
Is the 4% taken from the sponsor or from us?
The sponsor pays the invoice amount. The PatronNow fee and processing are deducted before the money settles to your account, and both are shown clearly to you and to the sponsor.
What about refunds?
You can refund a sponsor payment, in part or in full, from the invoice. The PatronNow fee on the refunded portion is returned; the payment provider may retain its processing cost, which is shown at the time.
Do you charge for sponsorships we record ourselves?
No. Agreements, invoices and payments you record yourself are free, however many you have.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. The monthly plan has no minimum term and stops renewing when you cancel. The annual plan is paid upfront for the year.
